Educational Qualification

To take admission in the MBBS course, the student has to pass the Intermediate examination with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. For admission in this, it is mandatory for the students to have 50% marks in Intermediate. If the student belongs to the reserved category, then it is mandatory to have 40 percent marks in Intermediate.

Age

Candidates who want to take admission in the MBBS course to become a doctor, their age should be between 17 to 25 years. Relaxation is given to the reserved category candidates as per rules.

Entrance Examination

At present, the MBBS entrance exam is conducted through NEET. All government and private medical college seats in India are included in this exam. Some institutes organize a separate examination for this. AIIMS, JIPMER, and AFMC conduct separate entrance exams for MBBS.

Duration of MBBS

The duration of MBBS is 5.5 years. In this, 4.5 years of theory is taught, followed by one year of internship. After successful completion of this MBBS certificate is issued.

MBBS Course Fee

Both private and government colleges are available to do MBBS courses in India. There is a huge difference in fees between these two. AIIMS has the lowest fees in government medical colleges. The fee here is Rs 1390 per year, but the fee of Army Medical College is Rs 56500 per year.

The fee for this course is the highest in private colleges. fee here ranges from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 12 lakh per year. The fees are paid by the students for a period of 4.5 years of this course of 5.5 years. The last one year is an internship, in which students do not have to pay fees.
