How is the NEET exam conducted?
NEET exam is conducted once a year in offline mode. 45 questions from Physics, 45 questions from Chemistry, and 90 questions from Biology (45 from Botany and 45 from Zoology) are asked in the exam. The Chemistry and Physics section carries 180 marks, while the Biology section carries 360 marks. For every correct answer, 4 marks are allotted and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
Participate in NEET Counseling
Attending NEET counseling is the most important step in the process of becoming a doctor. NEET counseling is conducted at two levels (All India and State wise). NEET All India counseling is conducted for 15% seats in all government colleges in the country, as well as for prescribed quota under central universities and 100% seats in deemed universities.
State-wise NEET counseling is conducted for the remaining 85% of government seats as well as 100% seats in private colleges. NEET counseling is conducted in online mode and students securing the minimum required percentile will be able to apply to participate in it.
